The Global Health Strategy and Engagement (GHSE) team has three major functions, including:
This rewarding and challenging role is responsible for ensuring the UKHSA is seen across Europe as a high performing agency, fostering stakeholder relationship (both internal and external), ensuring smooth-running of EU and Four Nations work, overseeing the timely implementation of workstream support, supporting the maintenance of governance systems, and co-ordinating the project support team. The post-holder will be required to work in partnership with and support the Senior Leadership Team.
The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills, an ability to manage varied work programmes, application of own judgement to problem solve and the ability to work to tight and shifting deadlines. They will need to be a highly motivated individual and a self-starter, who can work independently. This role requires someone with proven and demonstrable knowledge of public health systems along with advanced communication, organisational, IT and time management skills. A strong interest in global health and/or international development and experience of international and multisectoral engagement is highly desirable.
The post holder will also support wider delivery of UKHSA's Global Health Strategy. Support the delivery of time-limited projects, working across the CMA Group and Global Health Protection directorate to enhance the delivery of GHSE objectives.
Occasional national and international travel may be required for this post.

This role is being offered as hybrid working based at our Core HQ in UKHSA Canary Wharf.
We offer great flexible working opportunities at UKHSA and operate using a hybrid working model where business needs allow. This provides us with greater flexibility about how and where we work, to get the best from our workforce. As a hybrid worker, you will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of your contractual working hours (approximately 3 days a week pro rata, (averaged over a month). Our core HQ offices are modern and newly refurbished with excellent city centre transport link and benefit from benefit from co-location with other government departments such as the Department for Health and Social Care (DHSC).
Security Clearance Level Requirement
Successful candidates must pass a disclosure and barring security check.
Successful candidates must meet the security requirements before they can be appointed. The level of security needed is Basic Personnel Security Standard.
