In this role you will be providing Information Assurance through the application of policy, standards and best practice to support the IT product teams. You will also be required to work with and manage other IA specialists to ensure a common approach to cyber security issues is developed and documented.

The cyber security, risk and compliance team protect Rolls Royce environment, intellectual property, data, services and products from cyber security threats, managing IT risks and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.

We offer excellent development, a competitive salary and remarkable benefits. These include bonus, employee support assistance and employee discounts.

Your needs are as unique as you are. So we encourage flexible working arrangements and support hybrid working wherever possible, so you can always be at your best - wherever and whenever you work.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Assist the team in developing and defining Information Security policies, standards, guidelines and procedure to an agreed framework (ISO27000, NIST 800-171, UK Cyber Essentials).
  • Act as the IT Security representative on large projects and operate as part of “product” teams, providing advice on the implementation of cyber security policies and standards.
  • Review compliance to information security policies and standards, configuration assessment, adherence to legal and regulatory requirements and recommend appropriate action.
  • Provide authoritative advice and guidance on the application and operation of all types of security controls including legislative or regulatory requirements.
  • Advise users on risk management and reduction and promote awareness in conjunction with the Global Security awareness program.

  • CISSP, CISM, CISA, GIAC, or related information security certifications.
  • Skilled at working within a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home or another remote location. It’s a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement. As a minimum we’re all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week.

We are an equal opportunities employer. We’re committed to developing a diverse team and an inclusive working environment. We believe that people from different backgrounds and cultures give us different perspectives. And the more perspectives we have, the more successful we’ll be. By building a culture of respect and appreciation, we give everyone who works here the opportunity to realise their full potential.

We welcome applications from people with a refugee background.
