Location: London - Television Centre (London W12) minimum 3 days per week depending on production commitments. There is the opportunity to work remotely.
Proposed salary range: £40,200 - £69,000, depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

This is an opportunity to join the award-winning Factual team at BBC Studios Audio. We make podcasts and visualised content for the BBC (iPlayer, Sounds, BBC YouTube, Radio 4 and Radio 5), as well as producing a growing slate of programmes for commercial audio platforms. We also make and monetise our own direct to market content. Our shows include You’re Dead to Me, Evil Genius, Evil Animals, A History of the USA in 100 Objects, Good Bad Billionaire, Desert Island Discs, In Our Time, Ready to Talk with Emma Barnett, Great Lives and Life Changing.
You’ll be tasked with developing and producing new visualised podcasts for the BBC and commercial platforms as well as visualising existing audio content.
This role involves working closely with the whole team at BBC Studios. You’ll regularly collaborate with producers and execs in the wider Audio Unit (which includes Drama and Comedy and Ents). You’ll will also have the opportunity to work closely with TV colleagues in the wider BBC Studios Factual community.
Please note that there is a similar role being advertised concurrently within the Comedy and Ents team at BBC Studios Audio. Whilst there is a skills overlap between the two roles, you should apply for the role which feels most appropriate to your experience.

In this role you’ll work on shows from our existing slate as well as responding to internal and external commissioning briefs in the UK and abroad. You’ll also explore possibilities for co-funding podcast production with hosting talent and other production houses.
You’ll be able to build on your existing connections in the visual content industry, by developing and maintaining effective relationships with digital talent, contributors and creative teams.
You’ll have the opportunity to produce high quality content through delivering longform visual shows and podcast formats to various audiences, requiring excellent knowledge of the end-to-end visualized production process.
You’ll have the opportunity to apply your knowledge of digital audience behaviors to shape content for platforms such as YouTube and emerging video channels. You will feed into the development of short form content related to your shows.
